The series consists of photographic images of ancient Greek artefacts from the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw. The objects are hand-held by museum workers in order to display their inventory numbers which are often hidden under the base or on the back. The presence of multiple tags and numbers suggests that the artefacts have formed more than one collection before arriving at their current destination. Their stories are chronicled in detailed captions, allowing the viewer access to their complex past. The spontaneous hand gestures and the presence of contemporary clothes worn by the employees speak about the human aspect of this process and interrupt the usual, quasi scientific method of documenting artefacts.
