Antonina Gugała – artist and researcher living and working in Warsaw, Poland
My practice explores photography as image and object as well as an agent, record and source of social practices ingrained in everyday life. Projects in this vein have included Warsaw Photographer, at the Archeology of Photography Foundation (2016), and Celina Osiecka: Photographic Services, at the Praga Museum of Warsaw (2022). My photography book titled Running to the Sun was published in 2025 by Bored Wolves. I am a recipient of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Stipend (2026) and the City of Warsaw Artistic Scholarship (2021; 2016). I am currently developing my PhD thesis on professional family photography (Doctoral School of Humanities, University of Warsaw).
